Where open trench excavation is difficult or disruptive, trenchless technology is an option for the engineer that is made more attractive than ever through the benefits of Flowtite®. Sliplining is the installation of new pipe inside an existing, deteriorating pipe. It can also include two-pass tunnel systems, where a casing pipe is microtunneled into place and a carrier pipe is pushed, or “jacked,” into the casing pipe. Flowtite® has products that meet these application needs.

The Flowtite® manufacturing process is unique in that it allows a custom product to be made to meet specific project requirements. Flowtite® can be produced in custom diameters that match the inside diameter of existing pipeline. This provides maximum flow capability while still allowing easy installation. Standard Flowtite® can even be pushed into place under low sewer flow conditions. Flowtite® can be produced in any joint length from 10 feet to 40 feet, which can reduce the number of installation pits required and cut installation time.

Push or jacking loads vary based on the thickness of the pipe wall. The allowable pushing loads for Flowtite® pipe are provided below.
